KNOWING GOD WILL PROVIDE!

PROVERBS 5:18-23

18May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.19A loving doe, a graceful deer may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love. 20Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman? 21For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths.22The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.23For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.

5: 18-20   God does not intend faithfulness in marriage to be boring, lifeless, pleasureless, or dull. Sex is a gift God gives to married people for their mutual enjoyment. Real happiness in sex comes when a person decides to find pleasure in the spouse God has given or will give them, and to commit themselves to meeting their spouse’s needs. The real danger comes when we doubt that God really knows or cares about what we really need in a marriage relationship. We then may resent his timing and carelessly pursue sexual pleasure without his blessing.

Tyndale. NIV Life Application Study Bible.

I believe that we destroy so many marriages ourselves today in not trusting Gods showing us our true partner. We want to pursue the first partner that we come across and then judge the relationship by how good sex is!! We are doing the EXACT opposite of what we should . We should look for a partner that fulfills our connection to God first and then our everyday traits whether good or bad, and learn each other before we even pursue sex. But society has become so acceptable to a (its my body and free sex) that we so often forget the true things of a marital relationship, which are the glue that holds them together. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and put GOD first in your marriages and HE will give you all the other pleasures that a marriage is supposed to bring us!!
