LEADERS DON’T GET “THE BIG HEAD”

Proverbs 27:21

21 The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise.

27:21 Praise tests a person, just as high temperatures test metal. How does praise affect you? Do you work to get it? Do you work harder after you’ve gotten it? Your attitude toward praise tells a lot about your character. People of high integrity are not swayed by praise. They are attuned to their inner convictions, and they do what they should, whether or not they are praised for it. Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV.

How do you react to praise? Are you always looking for someone to say how good you are? Do you do your job well just because you think someone will notice you? Why do we concern ourselves so much with others praise? Because the only praise we should be concerned about is our praising God. Giving Him the glory for giving us the ability to do something well enough to deserve the praise or honor of a good leader.

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and let your praise be given to God and God will see that you are rewarded when you do good deeds for him.
