LET GOD CONTROL NOT MAN
Philippians 2:12-13
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
In our churches today we see my people following a preacher. Sometimes doing things that are not scripturally sound, or even morally wrong. God knows our hearts, but others see our works and if we are not doing what God intended. Instead of doing what a preacher or man wants, then we are not doing God’s work. We should always obey God to do His will.
2:13 To be like Christ, we must train ourselves to think like Christ. To change our desires to be more like Christ’s, we need the power of the indwelling Spirit (1:19), the influence of faithful Christians, obedience to God’s Word (not just exposure to it), and sacrificial service. Often it is in doing God’s will that we gain the desire to do it (see 4:8-9). Do what he wants and trust him to change your desires. Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV.
ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and ask Him for guidance, direction, strength, and ability to do His will.
