LIVE WHAT YOU PREACH

Mark 12:38-40

38: As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39: and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets 40: They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”

Here Jesus is warning us not to be spiritual hypocrites. The leaders wanted to have everyone look at them and see them as great leaders, great men of the church. But trying to appear Holy when you are doing it for the wrong reasons is a sin in itself. Also when judgement comes those who are leaders will be judged more horribly because they have taken the place as leaders. Live your life for Christ and let no one be able to call you a hypocrite.

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and make sure that we are not spiritual hypocrites or living as the pharisees.
