POPULARITY CAN CAUSE BELIEF, BUT FAITH STAYS FOREVER

John 2:23-25

23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name. But 24 Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

2:23-25 The Son of God knows all about human nature. Jesus was well aware of the truth of Jeremiah 17:9, which states, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Jesus was discerning, and he knew that the faith of some followers was superficial. Some of the same people claiming to believe in Jesus at this time would later yell “Crucify him!” It’s easy to believe when it is exciting and everyone else believes the same way. But keep your faith firm even when it isn’t popular to follow Christ. (Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.)

How often do we see the same thing in todays society? People go to church to hear a health and prosperity message and turn and walk out all happy and then a financial burden comes along or even worse a sickness appears and the first thing said is, why me? I have been doing……….!! Well lets think and look into the Bible, JESUS never promised us a easy road, Just the strength to endure it. He never promised prosperity, just he would supply ALL our needs!! Sickness, just to never leave us nor forsake us. Why do things always seem to happen when we trust and have faith in JESUS, BECAUSE satan knows he has already lost the war and is still trying to take as many of us with him as he can. JESUS said those who endure to the end WILL see the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and ALWAYS let your faith be withstanding to all the trials, test, temptations, and tribulations that WILL come our way.
