WATCHMAN
Ezekiel 33:7-9
7: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8: When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 9: But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.
Here God was appointing Ezekiel to be the watchman for the people of Israel. This is to warn them of coming judgement and giving hope to those who faithfully obey His commands and His way of living. Today this still stands true for every one of us as Christians. Part of our job as Christians is to tell others of Jesus Christ’s grace and mercy, His love and forgiveness. But also to tell them about the judgement coming if we disobey Him. Is it hard for you to tell or talk about Jesus? If so, just remember He and many others died for telling and showing others about Jesus and His love. We only suffer a little bit of hurt in our pride because someone turns away from us and God’s word. But when that happen, we have done our job. We brought the gospel to them. They refused and they will suffer the consequences not you. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and tell everyone how Jesus saves and the world condemns so that we are the good watchman.
