WHEN TO PRAY

1 Thessalonians 5:17

17 pray continually,

We read these words and think how do I do that? First, I don’t think it is a command to pray all the time. We should have our time with Jesus in prayer before we start our day and when we end our day. But this scripture is more about our attitude and our thoughts and how we do and use them every hour of the day. Like when we have a decision to make about something financial. Do I need a new car with debt or should I pay cash for a used one? Or just driving down the road, do we talk to ourselves in thoughts that can be influenced by wrong or evil or do we spend that time talking to God? Like He is a friend that is sitting there beside us.

God wants to hear about everything we do in our daily life. And when we spend time talking(prayer) with Him, His influence in our life becomes more and more evident by our doing his will not our own.

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and as you walk spend time talking to and telling Him about your life and let Him guide your life down the road to a home with Him, not a worldly home that leads to Hell.
