PROVERBS 9:11-18

11For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.12If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer. 13Folly is an unruly woman;she is simple and knows nothing. on a seat at the highest point of the city, 15calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way, 16“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says, 17“ Stolen water is sweet;food eaten in secret is delicious! 18But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.

9: 14-17   Wickedness has a hypnotic and intoxicating quality about it. One sin leads us to want more; sinful behavior seems more exciting than the disciplines of the Christian life. That is why many people put aside all thought of Wisdom’s sumptuous banquet (9: 1-5) in order to eat the stolen food of Folly (foolishness). Don’t be deceived sin corrupts and destroys. Before reaching for forbidden fruit, take a long look at what happens to those who eat it.

Tyndale. NIV Life Application Study Bible.

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and be the one who chooses wisdom over foolishness even if its not the way that everyone else is doing.
