PROVERBS 27:15-16

15A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof in a rainstorm; 16restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand.

27: 15-16 Quarrelsome nagging and a steady stream of unwanted comments can feel like torture. People nag because they think others are not listening to or not agreeing with them. But nagging hinders communication more than it helps. When tempted to engage in this destructive habit, stop and examine your motives. Are you more concerned about yourself— getting your way or being right— than about the person you are alleging to help? If you are truly concerned about other people, think of a more effective way to get through to them. Surprise them with words of patience, love, and encouragement; then see what happens.

This proverb speaks of a quarrel with a wife, But it think it can also be applied to anyone that we might get into an arguement with and about anything we are arguing about. We as Christians are supposed to be the wiser and more understanding people. We are always supposed to be representing JESUS and show how he would have responded.
