PROVERBS 25:2-5

25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. 3 As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable. 4 Remove the dross from the silver, and a silversmith can produce a vessel; 5 remove wicked officials from the king’s presence, and his throne will be established through righteousness.

25:2-5

This passage focuses on the king. Proverbs 25:2 indicates the importance of a king’s efforts to discover the truth. This verse is followed by a proverb on the value of a king keeping his own counsel and making up his own mind. Then we read that because a wise king seeks good advisers, he must be aware of the danger of those who are wicked in places of influence. Last, a warning is issued to those within the court that anyone who makes demands on the king’s time treads on dangerous ground. Hezekiah began his collection of wisdom with words for himself.

In todays world of social media, we see the evil that goes on in one source trying to influence us one way and another influence us another way, so much so that it has become a game of trying to figure out who is being honest about what they are saying, because they are saying the exact opposite of each other. Only one can be right, and GOD knows who it is.
