Hi and good day to you I am Richard Dean Brooks

I started ON THE WAY HOME MINISTRIES while I was incarcerated in Federal Prison and we (my father and I) started it as a daily scripture and devotion delivered to Facebook, Emails, and even in the Federal secure emails called Coorlinks.com . PROVERBS 23:4-5

4Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. 5Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

23: 4-5 We have all heard of people who have won millions of dollars and then lost it all. Even the average person can spend an inheritance— or a paycheck— with lightning speed and have little to show for it. Don’t spend your time chasing fleeting earthly treasures. Instead, store up treasures in heaven, for such treasures will never be lost.

Ok I can attest to this also, Since I got out of prison, I have been trying to aquire as much as I could as fast as I could by working WAY to much.And today 4 yrs later I can definately say that all the work has made me miss out on things I really should be doing, things that bring God the glory not myself. And also it causes me to miss out on the little things like family, friends, and things that should be done in a Christians daily life!! the more I go through the proverbs the more I see things that I myself fail to do and am now trying to make changes in my life so that I can be the man God wants us to be not what we think is worth something, only to stop and think and know it is worth nothing compared to our eternal life with CHRIST!!

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and be sure to walk according to his will and ways and not what we think things ought to be.
