BE PREPARED FOR THE DECEIVER

Matthew 13:18-21

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

In this parable Jesus tells us that we need to be deep-rooted, meaning we need to have knowledge and understanding of the WORD(the Bible).When we know our Bible, we are able to fight off all of Satan’s deceit and troubles he can put on us.If we don’t, then he can give us false feeling and reasons to do as we please which in turn takes us from the love of Jesus and the peace and joy He gives us.Again he has stolen our joy.ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and know God’s word to keep the deceiver from stealing our peace, joy, and love.
