BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN
Matthew 5:4 BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN FOR THEY SAHLL BE COMFORTED
One of the saddest times in a person’s life is when they are in mourning. When you have lost someone or something so precious to you that you are broken and grieving. But as sad as that time is, it is even more sad when that grief is brought on by recognizing that you have sinned against God or one of His statutes. This is the Godly sorrow that produces repentance, and repentance leads to salvation without regret. (see II Corinthians 7:10) Once you have reached this point in your life, you can truly begin to rejoice, because you can know that your sins have been forgiven. Some people tend to keep bringing up past sins that they have confessed to God and that He has forgiven them for. Are you one of those people who just can’t seem to forgive yourself? Well, don’t be that way! What you are doing is telling God that you don’t believe that He has really forgiven you. You see, God says that He will remember those sins no more so don’t keep reminding Him of them, ok?
Now the reward for those who mourn over their sin is comfort. The “comfort” is the comfort of forgiveness and salvation. You feel a burden has been lifted off your shoulders, you feel light, refreshed………forgiven!! ONE THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and thank him for salvation.
