CHRIST FOR ALL

ACTS 11:16-18

11:16-18 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?’ When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

As Peter spoke, he realized what Jesus had said, that the Gospel was for all people, Jews and Gentiles. Yet the Jews were still having a hard time accepting that Gentiles (all other people) could have the gospel given to them and not become Jews. Do we mirror some of the ways the Jews thought in our world today? Do we see people that WE think shouldn’t or couldn’t possibly become Christians? When the Holy Spirit moves, He moves in His own way with the authority of God. When He moves, He is always showing us the love of Jesus. Who are we to ever question who should or should not become Like Christ (Christians). Jesus loves all people and gave His life for all of us. So if we should ever think we are better or different toward others that we think aren’t worthy, we should stop, repent, and thank God that all of us are sinners saved by His grace and mercy. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and help gather His chosen children together and always show the love of Christ in your life.
