FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST

Galatians 1:6-8

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

How many preachers do we hear today that say “if you do this, God will bless you”? Well, what God really said was only the free gift of salvation given through belief in Jesus Christ is what gives us eternal life. Nothing we can do in words or deeds can save us. Only faith in what Jesus is and what He did at Calvary is what gives us eternal life. Man wants us to believe that we can “do good” enough to get us to heaven. But Jesus said No one is righteous, NO NOT ONE. That means without Jesus in our life, nothing you or I can do or say will give us eternal life. God won’t accept our man-made religion and all our good deeds if we fail to have faith in Jesus. Even God’s chosen people, (the Jews) with all their laws won’t be saved until they believe Jesus is the Messiah. Even though the Jews believe Jesus lived, they still refuse to believe that only faith in Him alone can save. When you choose a church be sure that what they teach is ONLY FAITH in Jesus and His blood can save you. No big church, no “great preacher”, no amount of good works can save. Then when Jesus comes into your life you WILL change and do good works. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and let your Gospel always be in Christ alone!!!
