GIVE WHAT YOU CAN

Mark 12:41-44

41: Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put) and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42: But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43: Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44: They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

This woman gave all she had. Our church at prison we had a tithe box Some give more than others. Our tithes are used to help the new men who come in and have nothing. God doesn’t care what you give. He cares where your heart is when you give.

I also have a story about myself! Only the people that were involved will totally understand. When I was very young I was at church and saw a woman give her ALL and being the old man I was I made fun of her, little did I know but it affected her daughter in a very bad way of shame. She carried this for many years with feelings I can only imagine how hard to deal with they were. But thank you JESUS and this person for finally saying something to me and being totally forgiving for my sins. I want to say how much shame I felt for being the uncaring person that caused this in her life. But just as Jesus would she forgave me and my understanding of forgiveness made another large step forward of JESUS true love in someones life. I didn’t do this post on purpose it just came up and I wanted to confess my sins so that others might understand what true love and forgiveness is and how much I want to say thank you and love that person for being a true child of God and allowing me to grow more JUST because of her love and forgiveness. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and Let Christ rule in your life and give Him your all and He will always see your love and rewards in heaven will abound.
