LOVE IN HONOR

Romans 12:10

10: Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Life Application Study Bible NIV

12:10 We can honor others in one of two ways. One involves ulterior motives. We honor our bosses so they will reward us, our employees so they will work harder, the wealthy so they will contribute to our cause, the powerful so they will use their power for us and not against us. God’s way involves love. As Christians, we honor people because they have been created in God’s image, because they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and because they have a unique contribution to make to Christ’s church. Does God’s way of honoring others sound too difficult for your competitive nature? Why not try to outdo one another in showing honor? Put others first! Life Application Study Bible NIV

Boy another one of the love things!! It seems like every time we turn around we are putting others above ourselves, Well maybe we are looking at it from our selfish worldly, human perspective!!! Well I can honestly say when we have the right motives, the right attitude, the right heartfelt love for all around us we get a lot more reciprocal love back. Maybe not as much as we give, but that is just the way this old evil world is!! Satan does NOT want us to love, because if we do then he has lost his hold of control of his evil thoughts and actions. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and learn to love and honor everyone, and accept those who won’t allow it rather than letting a few take that love from you by making you angry or hate!!!
