NEW LIFE IN CHRIST
Romans 6:5
6:5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
Because we are united with Christ in his death, our evil desires and slavery to sin died with him. Now, united by faith with him in his resurrection life, we have unbroken fellowship with God and freedom from sin’s hold on us. For more on the difference between our new life in Christ and our old sinful nature, read Ephesians 4:21-24 and Colossians 3:3-15. Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV
Can you imagine that if you have accepted Christ you are no longer a slave to sin. That means you DON’T have to sin. Oh I am sure we all sin sometimes, but the hold sin once had on us is no more. As we grow in Christian maturity our want to sin or our feelings of right and wrong should should become less and less of sin and more of good! We should want to NOT sin! We should find God’s way of things much more satisfying than our old ways of sinning. We should find things easier to deal with than we used too. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS knowing that our sins died with Jesus and our new man arose with him too.
