RESPECT AND HONOR

Romans 13:6-7

6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Love Fulfills the Law.

People have a lot of different opinions and views when it comes to speaking about taxes and government officials. And this is not to take away from those differences. This is only to speak on and choose what God’s word tells us to do. God’s word tell us we are to pay what we owe. And that does not only mean taxes and money, His word puts respect and honor in there with taxes and revenues. And we know how important the world holds to the latter, we are also to put the same importance on the former. If we will give respect and honor as God tell us then we will find it easier when we give taxes and revenues. Because it is harder to be begrudging against something that we honor and respect. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS giving what we owe, from taxes, to revenues, to respect and honor.
