THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEVING AND FAITH

Matthew 8:28-34

28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” 30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”32 He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34 Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.

The demon possessed or even sinners believe in Jesus, that He is God’s Son. But they refuse to obey Him. Today, man is no different. Everyone believes in something and most believe there was and is a Jesus, the Son of God. But some still believe that they can do as they want and not what Jesus wants. Jesus showed us a life of faith by how He lived. He showed us a life perfected by doing what God’s word says. Then He LOVED us so much that He gave His life to redeem us to God. And all He asks is for us to have faith in His love for us. When we have that faith and know that Christ’s sacrifice for us will give us eternal life, thru Jesus, we will continue to grow in our life, and our love for Him will cause us to show our faith to others in order to bring them to faith in Jesus. And if they refuse to see and have faith in Christ, they will do as the people from that town did and ask you to leave. Because they don’t want you to expose them for what they are. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and make sure all know that your FAITH rest entirely upon our LORD JESUS CHRIST
