MATTHEW 5:10

5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

When evil comes against a Christian simply because he is a Christian, then it comes with a blessing of God. It seems that Christians, today, are the target of suffering in the world. Many are killed, suffer persecution, harm, all sorts of evil for the name of Jesus Christ. Some are even told to renounce Christ and live, or die and they choose to die. That is the suffering that is rewarded with blessings in heaven. 1 Peter 4:14 tells us “If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part, He is glorified.” You have heard it question: If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? I would even go so far as to say : Would there be enough evidence to arrest you? There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind when they meet you, that you are a Christian. It should show in your demeaner, in your talk, in the way you conduct yourself, that you belong to God. They should know you by the peace of God that shows on your face. The love of God does radiate on the face of a Christian.

You belong to the kingdom of heaven, and it belongs to you, if you are one of the persecuted ones for the sake of righteousness. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and let everyone see and know that you are a Christian.
