TRUTH AND THE BIBLE

1ST JOHN 2:24-25

24As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is what he promised us— eternal life.

2: 24 These Christians had heard the gospel, very likely from John himself. They knew that Christ was God’s Son, that he died for their sins and was raised to give them new life, and that he would return and establish his kingdom in its fullness. But their fellowship was being infiltrated by false leaders and teachers who were denying these basic doctrines of the Christian faith, and some of the believers were in danger of succumbing to their false arguments. John encouraged them to hold on to the truth the apostles had taught them from the beginning of their walk with Christ. We need to grow in the correct knowledge of the Lord, to deepen our understanding through careful study, and to teach the truth to others. No matter how much we learn, however, we must never abandon the basic truths about Christ as found in his Word. Jesus will always be God’s Son, and the benefits of his sacrifice for our sins will never change. Don’t ever accept any doctrine that contradicts these teachings in the Bible. Tyndale. NIV Life Application Study Bible

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS knowing that the truths we are taught and the Bible should always be the same!!!
