Philippians 2:21

21 For everyone looks out for their interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

2:21 Paul observed that most believers are too preoccupied with their own needs to spend time working for Christ. Don’t let your schedule and concerns crowd out your Christian service to and love for others. Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV. Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.

Many people seek their glory trying to make a name for themselves. They do things in Jesus name to appear what they are not. We may not be able to see the difference, but Christ can. It is extremely hard to see others doing things “for Christ” but living otherwise. Like Jesus told the disciples as long as Christ is preached, they are for us.
