DON'T BE PRIDEFULL!!

JAMES 4:4-6

4You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: " God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

4: 5   This verse may mean that because of our fallen nature we have a tendency toward envy and must keep it in check, or it may mean that God, who puts his Spirit in believers, wants intimate friendship with us. James is not quoting a specific verse or passage— he is summing up a general teaching of Scripture. (For more on the human tendency toward envy and discontent, see Romans 6: 6-8 and Galatians 5: 17-21.)

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and make JESUS CHRIST your best friend and the actions of this world your enemy so that you become humble in GODS eyes and not prideful as in the ways of the world!
